Weekly contest guidelines

Are there any guidelines to follow?

I won't call them rules, because then someone has to enforce them, and we all know how that usually turns out in life.

Specifically, I would like to know if I can submit an image captured with a non-Pentax camera. It is a Canon P&S (not P.O.S.) that is infinitely inferior to my (and all of yours) K10D.

The image was recorded in September 2007, so it's not an oldie pulled from thousands of available pics.

One of my entries some time ago was taken with a fuji P&S and i wasn't struck by lightning or anything so i think it will be ok

Probably ok to enter as long as you don't win ?

The object of the exercise is to keep it simple and fun, with as few rules as possible.

Pentax shots are obviously preferred, after all it is a PentaxUser forum, but a shot from another camera would be OK from a forum member.

If suddenly lots of Fuji Forum members descended, if there is such a place for them to appear from, then that would be something else...but why would they?

It would be like a flash mob. It's occurred to me before, probably after a glass or (ahem) two of wine, that it would be mildly amusing for a bunch of us to register on a Canon forum, and then ask some innocent questions about AF accuracy or something.

Obviously I'd never do such a thing...

Anyway, it's when all their photos are way better than ours we'd need to worry

AHA, that's fixed it. Don't worry Clarky, since someone has just posted a pic taken with a Canon, my machine now has a new preferred target


ChrisA, part of me thinks that would be hysterical. Probably the part of me that is already thinking as if it is drunk, in preparation for my Birthday celebrations tomorrow, but a part of me none the less.
