I was sure I put somewhere that I'd be out last night so judging might be later than we'd been accustomed to lately, but I can't find that now.
It's been a slow day today.

I seem to recall you said you'd be lucky to judge today as well but I can't think where you said it. But for that I would have been impatient as well.
Hyram - it pays to butter the judge up you know

Thanks DarkMunk - I tried the beer tonight and it was foul! My son bought it and I tried a little and it reminded me of barley wine which I once had way too much of and it was a case of never again! We're talking a hangover that lasted all day and being unable to eat that day. Foolish youth!
It's very expensive as well. I can see why it's liked though. A lot of flavour, strong and a magnificent head which I hope comes through careful brewing. Nice and hoppy as well as I recall but not to my taste thankfully.

Well I'm not overly fond of beer in any case and strong beer - and I think you'll agree it's strong - isn't my bag. That said this beer isn't just strong it's strong because of the way they made it unlike some ghastly lagers you get. Sacrilege maybe but I like the local beers brewed for their market so that Lion beer was OK, Three Coins seemed a bit pricey to me I just wish the vogue for immensly strong beer would pass. Does it have to be 4% to be good? I agree the terrible Watneys Keg (was that it) at 2% wasn't much good in the 60s but 4% seems quite strong for a run of the mill beer not made with real care.

Ha! finally we can get our own back on the pesky, globe trotting Doc
I'm not sure what to have for breakfast in a mo'. Should it be a streaky bacon butty or just Marmite on toast? oh... I don't know, I might go for some marmalade today... but then I haven't had kippers for a while.
.
Arrg... who am I trying to kid? I hate you Mhuni.

I could do with some good Sri Lankan sunshine and warmth that's for sure. Then a nice Tuc Tuc ride to a small restaurant for lunch anywhere but ideally overlooking the sea say with some kids playing their very serious beach cricket. Bliss.
