Weekly Competition # 195 - "Japan"

Tricky subject to illustrate, without resorting to photographing electrical goods, cameras etc.

Sushi? Saki? Asahi beer? I'm away next week so you can have those ideas for free .

can't do a cashcow cos they are made in sunderland might have to go to
yo sushi. unless i dig out my grandads pictures of his pow camp

I was also thinking that Japan would be a good topic, for the reasons set out by the Judge. Well this one is going to call for some creativity, unless I just photograph my Pentax camera, or my Nissan Micra

Does Sunderland count as Japan

Interesting and very topical subject. I thought I would get my entry in early, as I have the advantage that I was in Japan recently, though before the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident devastated the country. I hope it shows the optimism of youth, perhaps one of their best assets in recovering from this disaster.

It might as well be Japan for all the rest of us in the North East can understand what they're saying there.

Strictly speaking I don't think my camera was actually made in Japan either! Ah well, back to plan B - a self portrait of me dressed up as Pikachu. I'm broadly the right shape anyway.
