The "gauntlet" was not thrown at you Tony. It was at David only.
Your comment was "merely" embedded in David's last post. That is all.
Best regards,

Martin.

Fear not Martin, I shall enter, close focus on a DA*50-135, close crop and hand held with full throttle on the shake reduction..

I,ve stuck an entry in (both my first entry to a weekly competition and my first ever macro shot!) Apologies if it's not mysterious enough! Done in a rush as i am doing loads of last minute packing.

It'd be a long skip across to the Arabian Peninsula - even with a rope!

I still think the 18-55 II AL DA is a cracking lens - handheld again but the little fella was shifting so much he wouldn`t stop for the exposure.
With Macro all you would have seen were his footprints !!

It looks good, but with 1/500 second, I guess the shake reduction starts to be irrelevant

Presumably the National Glass Centre is fairly near you as you have posted images from there before :

This is still happening

I think some people only read the first few words of a competition subject

I hadn't noticed the shutter speed till you pointed it out Belinda, but I was shooting through glass into the light.
Yes the National Glass Centre is only about 15 miles from where I live and I've been there a few times.
