Weekend stroll

As I have done my share of pixel peeping for this week I thought I might show some of the results of last weekends stroll in the forest and to the shore:
Autumn walk [Pentax DA* 16-50]

Climate control [Sigma 70-300 DG APO Macro]

Now I can go back to sifting through the archives for "transport" shots...

Leaf peeping is always better than pixel peeping.

I particularly like the third one. Reminds me of an Escher print.

Nice shots Ralf

I like Forest Window the most, followed by Autumn Walk, cant decide on Climate Control, all that pollution suggests global warming but the image is very cold The image is very simple, almost graphic, I think B&W would suit it better......IMHO of course

The leaf...is just like a signature pricture from you. Very well done. I love this set.

Forest window is an excellent idea and composed wisely.

Thanks all for looking and for your kind words!

Spider:
On 'climate control' I do see where you are coming from. I tried doing a B&W of it but in the end I liked the touch of blue in the sky as it is. Of course we don't see the pollution from the coal power plant but only the steam in the picture.
And we (especially in Europe (which includes Britain, by the way)) should be aware that global warming could well mean that our climate gets cooler. All that contributes to me not being quite happy with that image.

Forest Window did work out nicely. I had a try on a different puddle earlier and that looked too confusing (although it did have a nicer lighting). I'll dig that out tonight...

Thanks again,
Prieni

Here's another forest window (a bit like Windows 1.0 )

I did like that band of light coming from the left, but the reflection is too busy and it's harder to make sense of it.

And to show to Spider that I did a more industrial shot in monochrome:

I said your Forest Window reminds me of an Escher print. Here's a link to it.

Thanks for the link, Gwyn.
I do like Escher (I'm a physicist after all ) and I'm pretty sure I've seen that image before. Maybe it was lurking deep in my subconcious...

Cheers,
