Hey Rick...

Sadly it's still playing silly buggers! It's just odd how it only does it on this website....

It's just done it....

Twice to logon, and then twice to edit this post!

So it only happens when you perform an action like submitting a post or can it happen when just browsing pages?

When it does happen, the page just takes forever to load or is there errors like max connections reached?

It does it no matter what I am doing.... browsing, uploading, replying, starting a new forum topic, and even I edit a post.

So I click on a forum post link... it then starts to load, then it stalls. It hangs on the page, for say 30 seconds or so. It then stops, still on the original page. Then I click the link again, and it then loads the page I want.

Could you try this when you have a few spare mins, check if BT Web Protect is enabled, if so disable it for a short period and test the site.

Sounds like something is interfering with the loading of the scripts used on site, either blocking them or preventing them loading for a while. Googling BT Web Protect, seems their software isn't infallible and can cause issues, but currently guess work unless you see an improvement.

Not sure I see the logic in that.... because it also does it on a 4/5g connection on my mobile.

I am sure it is off, but I will check.

I have been experiencing the same problems. I am with BT/EE too. I have issues accessing the site on Android devices when away from home. I have no issues with other sites. Are Spad and I unique or are other users having the same issue?

From what I can gather BT & EE are the same network, will have the same anti-virus solutions and routing. The only commonality so far is users on BT & EE are the ones unfortunately experiencing issues.

Cheers Spad, it's a case of identifying the root cause then hopefully we might be able to do something about it.

Hi
I have just checked the BT Web Protect programme which will only work via the BT network. This morning I have been trying to access the Pentax User site using an android device in a field via the Samsung router and the same problems occur as I experience trying to access Pentax user from home on BT. With this in mind, I very much doubt whether BT is to blame! The problem has only been occurring in the last few weeks. Is it at all conceivable that other members, who are not on BT, have been experiencing problems, but have attributed the issues to the weather or whatever and have not reported it. I can access other websites with no difficulty at all, so why is getting onto Pentax User a problem?

Best wishes

Michael

UPDATE

Sorry for taking my time! Been a bit busy....

BT Web Protect is off...
Cleared all date and caches...

No effect... the website is still doing all the stuff I mentioned in my previous posts.

Thanks for the update Spad and comprehensive testing, I'll pass on your finding to Server Admin, see if they can identify anything.

Cheers,

Rick
