Website Issues

I seem to be having to do everything twice with the website. When I post anything, on the gallery or on the forum, the website just hangs while it is uploading or downloading. The page them times out, I then click again and it posts or uploads.

It does it on my desktop, laptop, phone and tablet. Irrespective of using either my home connection or while out using my mifi.

I use Firefox browser.

Hi Spad,

Are you still experiencing issues? I've just jumped on your account and tested an upload etc, all seems well.

The file sizes from your recent uploads are fine, so think we can discount issues with files. With you saying it's across devices, it's also unlikely to be a restricted band width, but worth testing your internet connection.

Are you using any Ad Blockers, or new antivirus recently that could be interfering with the sites scripts? If so, try disabling those for a few minutes to see if things improve.

Cheers,

Rick

Hey Rick,

Add blockers removed.... still doing it. The one thing linking all this is Firefox. Could it be an issue with that?

I used develop websites, and I found Firefox can be a bit temperamental.

I use Firefox myself and redeveloping the site using it, so should be fine, have you got any extension within Firefox?

I know it's pain, but have you tried clearing cookies/site data from Firefox?

Ok....

No other extensions, and I have Firefox set to delete all data on exit.

Is this happening on Windows, what version is Firefox on?

Is it just when you submit an image/comment or just browsing the site in general?

Firefox is all up to date, across all platforms.

It's on all platforms, and when using the website. For all aspects. Browsing, image view/upload, and even using messaging. I cannot figure it out.

In Firefox, if you press F12, switch the tab to Network and refresh the page, is there anything that's taking forever to load (or failing to load)?

Any improvement on this Spad? All we've got so far based off reports too is potentially it might be BT's network with EE being part of it. Server Admin have various remote monitoring in place and not seeing anything of concern.
