Housings are quite exprensive, but a Google search should bring up the various manufacturers. Some do make Pentax housings.
However, how about the Ricoh adventure cameras? The WG series, once labelled Pentax, are nor labelled Ricoh.

hello,
thanks! i used to own the W80, it last awhile before dying. but i want a real camera with a bigger sensor, potentially to make it my new job which is why i need to assess whether going for a K3 (which has a few housing), or get one tailored, or switch systems.
thx

Unfortunately Ikelite didn't do a K3 housing otherwise I might have ordered one, and I havent been able to find a used K-5 one either sadyly. So I'm taking a WG-5 on a trip week after next, handy little thing (I've used its predecessor before).
... just another middle-aged guy with a hobby. I have an extreme macro learning site at extreme-macro.co.uk - Pentax-centric, your feedback and comments would be appreciated!

yes i used to love my W80, after 4 or 5 years it died, i bought a panasonic with good reviews, it dies on the 3rd session, couldnt manage to get it replaced... looking at reviews almost 10% of the waterproof cameras get faulty...
the company liquid eye makes cases that are not that expensive like 600 euros for basic one.

I would call 600 Euros quite expensive - close on the cost of three waterproof compacts and very cumbersome as well.
I don't feel afraid of using my WG-3 in any circumstances, that's what it's for. If it fails, it fails, but then so could a waterproof housing.

Every response so far seems to be pushing the smaller-sensor waterproof compacts. I think Boudou has already answered why he doesn't want to use one so I'm not sure it is particularly helpful to keep suggesting them.
Taking action shots of surfing would be much easier with the shutter response, faster shutter speeds and lower ISO noise of a DLSR. If you want the best shots possible and be able to sell them (which it looks like Boudou does) then a compact wouldn't work.
Having said this, I'm not aware of any housings for the KS2 or K3. I don't think the market segment is large enough for manufacturers to recover the development costs of every Pentax model. There definitely used to be a K5 housing by one of the companies but I could only find it for sale in the US and that would incur import duties.
Good luck in the search.

Anyone aware of waterproof housing for KS2 or recent Pentax DSLR? it's to go surfing so needs to be resistent to waves not under water gentleness.
thx
