Quoted from Tamrac:I'm after a waterproof cover for my Tamrac Aventure 7 backpack.

"Tamrac camera and video bags are constructed with fabrics that have a thick waterproof coating which makes the bag material quite weatherproof. However, the seams are not sealed and the zippers are not waterproof so extreme exposure to water, such as submersion in part or full, may admit water into the bag interior. So, while not completely waterproof, our bags' coatings, their Total Coverage Tops, and Rain Flaps combine to offer excellent protection against rain, dust and sand. For backpacks which are going to be carried flat with the front of the pack facing up, (like on the back of a motorcycle or in the back of a pickup truck), we make a raincover (Model MX5352/medium, MX5354/large) for models 757, 759, 767, 777, 787 and 5575, which offers additional protection for everything except the back of the backpack and harness."
Hope this helps

John

Hi Richard,
You may find it has been updated or discontinued but I would think the covers will be generic, perhaps a call to a Tamrac dealer would clarify. I've had a Tamrac Summit for some time and never really had an issue with water ingress despite being out in the worst of UK weather from time to time. They really aren't kidding when they say they're made from US militaty grade materials
Regards,
John

You could always look in somewhere like "GO! Outdoors" and see if they do a generic backpack raincover that will suit your needs? Providing that it's waterproof and a good close fit (as opposed to "universal fit" where you always end up with swathes of loose fabric) it should be fine
