Water, Water Everywhere

We're just back from a week near New Quay in west Wales. Close to Devil's Bridge is a butterfly house, but also the hydro-electric power station, run with water from the gorge. And there was plenty of water. These images are from the overflow, using the K-1 and 28-105mm lens. They are actually colour images, but look black and white because the subject is pretty much monochrome.

Best regards, John

Very nice, John. I like the first one in particular, with its gentle S keeping the water calm on one side, and letting it crash into chaos on the other. The last one has a beautiful abstract quality, and all four are wonderfully detailed.

My neck of the woods.
You didn't see any jets passing by, as they occasionally use that valley. The hydro centre is a good little tour and free, also if you have kids with you they get to feed the fish in the breeding tanks.
Did you visit Nant yr Arian?
The red kite feeding and mountain biking centre.
Falls in Devil's Bridge, Hafod estate also worth a visit.

Hope you enjoyed your visit.
