Don, at last I know what to do to manage condensation!

Many thanks for that simple tip.

I was out hill walking this weekend in temperatures down to about -10. Despite having the camera hung round my neck all day exposed to the elements it worked fine. I'd partly done it as a test, and was pretty impressed that it coped. I'll have to see if I can find out what temperature was being recorded in the exif.

Thanks Don for the tip about condensation - sounds like a really good idea.

Robert.

Well my camera spent most of yesterday at -4C and didn't mind.

I managed 6 shots with the K20D before the cold took over!....it stopped working at -7!...
I dont think this will affect me one bit, I stop working effectively at anything below 20

Interesting topic though Ken, squeezed a few goods tips out of this one.

I left the camera in the shop overnight (probably a couple of degrees over freezing) by mistake, picked it up in the morning and the DA*50-135 just wouldn't focus at all. Two minutes later, it was fine! Not sure if it's related to this topic or not, but worth mentioning?

My camera refused to work at about 0c last Saturday, but that might be due to the fact that I'd forgotten to put the memory card back in

Seriously, though, I hadn't given a thought to ambient temperature affecting the camera.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Have a look at this site. A K10D in outer space (-50 deg C). Not much should be able to beat that....
