Wanted Decent Tripod

Wanted a decent tripod as my 35 year old tripod has bit the dust, finally

I can recommend the Giottos MTL 9315B. If you need a hide clamp you can take out the center section and put on a Manfrotto 349 aluminium hide column clamp. I have found it very useful just to carry the center column with the clamp, to fix to fences etc.

I got a Velbon Sherpa 250 from Camera World. £48 this week.

I've got a RedSnapper (http://www.aldine.co.uk/redsnapper/tripod-3wayhead-combo.html) and can highly recommend. Do a Google on them and you'll find comments on various forums (or fora for those requiring grammatic precision :wink singing their praises. Worth the money.

OK lads thanks for all your help, I have bought the one from Amazon after reading all the reviews, link it will take 4 kilos so at the price it will do for me although the postage was 20 quid, so another problem sorted,
