Wanted: 35mm-ish M42 prime

I got a SMC Tak 1:3.5 28mm 5849234 with Pentax screw rear cap and 49mm front cap and Hoya skylight filter (1A).Unmarked and fungus free glass,tight operation,minimal paint wear.
Any use let me know

Hi Mr Cynical,
You are wise to choose one of these two focal lengths. My preference (having two versions of both) would definitely be for the 28mm. Maybe it's just me and the things I shoot and the way I frame them, but I always have a good time with the 28 but find myself "stepping backwards" a lot with the 35, but both are great fun to use. The 28 stays on my camera when in store... the 35 has to be selected!
I must have been really lucky with all four lenses because I bought them off e-bay for very little out-lay and they're all clean optically and all work fine. Whether they're up to modern Pentax standards is, of course, another matter. What can you expect for around a
tenner?

But, in a blind testing, could you tell the difference?
Well, not BLIND, obviously...that would dfeat the object, but you know what I mean. Of course, if you did know which was which, there would be certain understandable psychological leanings...

I have a Pentax 35mm f3.5 K lens including Hoya filter if you are interested.It is very clean.

Thanks, although IIRC K-series lenses tend to be huge (in comparison to M-series for example) which lessens the advantage of a prime. I might just get a Helios (yeah I know they're 58mm!) on evilbay as a means of getting into this M42 business, then see where I go from there.
