W90 repair?

My w90 broke while I was on holiday and I'm considering wether it's worth getting it repaired. Has anyone sent one for repair, what sort of costs do you think I'd be looking at? There is a possibility it could have water damage which would probably make it beyond economical repair. But the camera does turn on, so maybe there is some hope? When you turn the camera on it (sometimes) starts taking photos, as if the shutter button is stuck on. It may stop after about 4 photos or keep going til it's done 6 (fills the internal memory). Then you can access the menus and delete photos but the shutter button does not work. Sometimes when I turn it on no buttons work at all.

I see a Olympus tough tg-320 for £120 wondering if I should just get that instead?

The first step would be to send it to JPS for a quote for repair. Then you'll be in a position to judge the relative value of repair or replacement.

WG-1 cameras are available on Amazon at low prices and the WG-2 at rather higher prices. Look at the SRS website for the current lineup.

W90 cameras are rare second hand, presumably people are keeping them, so that may not be an option.
