VIVITAR 6000 AF FLASH TTL AUTO FOCUS

Will this flash work on a K110D. I want to attach it to a cosina 100mm macro lense. There seems to be two schools of thought, one is that it will only work in manual mode and the other say it will work fully with TTL and auto focus. Does anybody has any recommendations for similar ring flashes that are full automatic. I am on a very tight budget as well, round about 70 pounds.

The K110D doesn't support TTL.
Only the *ist-D and *ist-Ds digital bodies supported TTL.

(All the DSLRs support P-TTL, but only the expensive digital flashes will support this.)

You can use:
* "A" mode on the flash
* "M" mode on the flash

Since you are doing macro work, I would advise fully manual on both flash and body
