Thanks for the link. More can be found on YouTube - just search there for "Pentax K-7" or "Pentax K7". Some of them are gorgeous and they make it look easy. It's not!

It's quite a different skill from stills photography. Due to the shape of the camera (not like a video camera) and having to use the LCD (Live View), it's difficult to keep a moving subject in frame, and even more difficult when using a shallow depth-of-field and manual focusing!

I solved that issue a long time ago.
tripod (two legs padded with foam, mine also has a pistol grip, manfrotto).
Superclamp (clamped onto the non padded leg near the top of tripod).
mini ball head with quick release plate.

I clamp the camera (my video cameras are quite small and harrd to hold steady) to one tripod leg, hold the pistol grip (angled down 90 deg) and rest the padded legs on my shoulder, to make a nice, comfortable over the shoulder camera rig.

pop the camera off the tripod pistol grip, snap it into the ballhead on the clamp, and away you go, nice and steady.

Yeah, a sturdy tripod or Fig Rig would help enormously, but I wouldn't want to carry one on my bicycle very often!

Meanwhile, I'm sure I could do better hand-held with some more practice.

I'd be even worse without Shake Reduction! ...which does work well with movies apart from the clatter when using the internal mic.

I might make one a Saturday with the KX.

Simply fitting a collapsed monopod under the camera helps to stabilize it since the point of gravity is shifted further down, I sometimes used it for photography.
