That's what I call sharp! But it's the lovely contrast between the green and magenta which makes it for me. That looks like a fun lens to carry round a garden, John.

It's a fantastic lens, compact, sharp and with a lovely character. Now Arley Hall is also fantastic, an absolute riot of colour if you choose your time right.

Lovely shot
I couldn't agree more with the comments on the DFA 100 - it is great to have on the camera in a garden - great for shots like this, or push the camera a bit closer and you can get bees, bugs and butterflies (assuming they stay (fairly) still long enough)

Nice shot John, but 'compact'?
I assume you mean compared to a zoom lens, I've tried my Samsung version as a street lens and, although some shots were fine, I found the focal length limiting in a busy street.

I meant compared to many macro lenses, especially independent ones. If you compare our 100mm FA Macro to the D FA Macro, then the latter is certainly diminutive.
