Very rare Fisheye

This is one of the earliest Fish-eye lenses from Pentax. It took the Fashion world by storm as it was the first Fish-eye that did not require the mirror on an SLR to be locked up.
The lens is not good by modern standards, but suited the Swinging Sixties...the diaphragm is interesting in that it consisits of a series of circular holes of the appropriate diameters. Waterhouse stops in effect, on a rotating metal plate.

Interesting lens but not as rare as the seller would like one to think!

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I think there have been a few on ebay lately, or it may be the same one not reaching it's BIN price!

That sounds rather like those "Lens in a cap" pinhole-type lenses which have been doing the rounds on ebay for a while. The diaphragm is a plastic disk with different sized holes which are placed in front of the lens as you turn the disk. This is one of the earliest Fish-eye lenses from Pentax. I somehow suspect that the Takumar fisheye for all its possible faults is light years ahead of these cheap plastic ones however!

Can't say I've heard of this one before. Amazingly flat.
