Has anybody seen or used one of these?

I have been loaned this one.

It is a M42 screw mount with a fixed focus, that appears to be 160mm from the sensor on the K20d, leaving a working distance of around 100mm.

The image below was taken with the lens set to f4.

Hopefully the weather will be good to have a play over the weekend

I've no experience of that particular model but lenses lacking a focus mechanism are designed to be used with a set of bellows - you find the focus point by moving the bellows in and out.

No reason to suppose it shouldn't be an excellent performer, dedicated macro lenses generally are.

Hefty is correct, sounds like a lens for a set of bellows and if it is, they are exceptional lenses - all you need now are some bellows!

I have just used it with an M42 adapter direct to the camera and with some extension tubes, moving the camera to focus.
