using Forum on a smartphone - tips?

Hi, Have just got an Andriod based 'smartphone' (Galaxy Ace running 2.3 / Gingerbread in case it matters) and have been trying it with the internet sites I regularly view on PC, including this.

I have found this site very cumbersome but think it might be the way I use the forum on PC isn't very efficient on a smaller screen / no proper key board arrangement.

What I do on PC is - sign in each time rather than stay signed in so that new items are flagged, then from the Forum Homepage go into all pages then threads that peak interest, one at a time.

I find signing in a real fiddle at the momment and going forward / back between Forum Home and the individual forum pages then topics cumbersome.

What would people suggest I do differently?

I use the forum the same on a PC and my android (and my previous Sony Erricson phone). I stay signed in. I have www.pentaxuser.co.uk/forum/recent-activity bookmarked so I go straight to that page.

Although I use an iPhone, I just check the 'remember me on this computer' box

I have no problem on an HTC Desire. Best thing is to get Opera Mobile or Mini as you can open tabs quickly, easily and have them open in the background. That way I can open all the threads I want to read and work my way through them. The standard browser is not as good.

Is there a reason why this forum is not compatible or registered with Android's Tapatalk app?

Another well-known Pentax forum can be used with Tapatalk. I'm just wondering why this one isn't?

With a choice of mobile skins and a facebook app, the other forum is so much more dynamic and user friendly. Yet somehow I still prefer this one, and it's pretty simple so works well enough on mobile devices IMHO.

no problem on my sammy galaxy s2, just bookmark it, then make a widget from that and it on your phone screen.
