I'm thinking of upgrading from my istDL in the very near future.
Recommendations please.

There are all sorts of options.

You could start at about £150 (at a guess) for a second-hand K10D body, or go all the way up to the K-5 at about £750 for just the body.

Hard to advise though, without an idea of your budget and aspirations.

The K-r is an obvious choice, unless you need weather sealing, in which case the K-7 or K-5, depending on availablity and budget.

What does the K10 give over an istDL?
Just in case I can sneak one passed the mrs

Thanks for the comments, ChrisA and JR.
The K-5 sounds nice and would be an option if it was about £300 cheaper.
I will look into the K-r and the K10D.
Budget is between £300 - £400.

Well, there's also the K20D secondhand, which would be more than the K10D, but less than a new K-r. Lots of people here moved to the K20D from the K10D, so there'll be lot of people to comment on that option.

I went from the K10D to the K-5 recently, so I know nothing about anything inbetween.

Well the things that got me looking at Pentax digital at all was 10 MP instead of 6, weather sealing, shake reduction, and bigger viewfinder and LCD. I think sensitivity priority also came out with the K10D, but I'm not sure about that.

OK.
I'm definitely thinking of another body.....but let's not talk about her right now
If they can be gotten for the £150 - £200 mark I might move one up my priority list

What about this K-r?

Sounds like a very good option

That does sound like a good option. But I did say in my original post that I was thinking of upgrading in the near future, but not this near.
Thanks for the offer Giorgio.
