Unable to use my beloved K-x...

I'm just about to leave for a hospital in Wigan as having surgery tomorrow on my hand and wrist...
Because of what they're doing I'm assuming (as nobody has actually let me know) I'll be in a cast that goes past the elbow and I reckon using my K-x is going to be fairly tricky for at least a month...
I've got so used to carrying my camera with me that packing a bag for the hospital without it just feels odd...
To top it off... My Fuji-F11 battery has recently decided it does not want to charge so I'm effectivly cameraless...
Not altogether happy...
Ah well...
Dave

Hope everything goes well with the surgery, and I also hope you will soon be out there with your beloved camera again. Meanwhile take it easy and concentrate on getting better.

A good time between semesters FWIW, so all the best Dave. Just think - all the reading you can do for uni now will make way for lots of photography later!

You might be able to use your ME Super if you can find a way to hold it (maybe a Gorillapod wrapped around the cast?) Just fit a cable release and use your left hand, it should be possible to steady the camera and press the release at the same time.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and I bet you will find some way to use your camera! A tripod perhaps?

Hey... Thanks all for the kindness... Bandage only goes to elbow due to the 'metalwork'
Fingers currently like sausages and whole arm a bit 'hurty'...
This bandage comes off in 2 weeks and a regular 'pot' going on for four/five weeks after...
Not sure I could attach camera to a tripod at the moment... However I don't really want to get out of bed much at the moment either...
Need to get a start on my disertation research but the codene knocks me for six too... Should be up and about by this weekend all being well and assuming the swelling goes down a little...
Once the pot goes on in 2 weeks camera handling should be fine... Might even have some 'band' work (if I can negotiate my lightstand LOL)
