A Pentax compatible strobe which can freeze action at 1/8000 sec is available to the well-heeled at www.priolite.com.

Ps. they also specially developed compatibility with the Pentax medium format range, although at 1/4000 sec, which is encouraging.

For the well-heeled indeed ..... link

Sure looks the business. Its good to see some pro-level flash equipment with Pentax support. Thanks for the update Rob.

A quick skim throught the online manual reveals a few basic details

..... Manual Power control over a '10 F-Stop' range
..... 1 sec re-cycling plus 6 flashes per sec at low power
.... There are 4 Groups (they call them 'Teams') that allow up to 9 units in each group (), with full individual power control of each unit (or a 'Team' as a whole) from the Hotshoe transmitter device
..... almost every control of the strobe is available for remote control from the camera device

Looks impressive!
