Two sunsets You guys choose which one I should send

Ok guys

I have two sunsets below but cant make up my mind which one to send for grading. I think both have plus & minus's

So your help in choosing based on your experiences

'cause it looks real.

And I like the composition and balance.

Image 1 because the power lines have been removed. The image looks better without them.

Agree - image 1 as the powerlines aren't evident.
Pity about the 'burnt-out' sun though

I agree, image 1 is the better compostion, and looks more real. Also agree that the sun is burnt out. Shame you couldn't have tucked it behind the trees, or waited a few minutes until it was down further and less bright.
The second one doen't look real, and doesn't really feel like a sunset photo to me - more of a late afternoon feel to it, or even early morning, but not sunset.

I think image 1, for all the reasons quoted above.

It is a pity about the sun though, for a sunset shot it is positioned lower and therefore better in the sky but I prefer the way it looks in image 2, especially with the clouds passing in front of it.

If the submission doesn't HAVE to be a sunset photo, I'd go with image 1 featuring that beautiful bed of yellow flowers.

Call it a sunset shot and we look for the sun. Call it a landscape shot and we'll look more at the flowers.

I like the composition of the 1st but the sunset of the second so I have deciced to send this third one I found

Well FWIW, and I expect it's too late... but I preferred the second one for composition. I didn't like the way the foreground path in the first led the eye to nowhere, nor the way the tree emerges rather randomly without a trunk.

And I preferred the first one for the burnt out sun. Any time you see the sun as a pale disc (or random egg shape like in the others), it's very low, and you're looking at it through thick haze.

Other times, guess what - you look (albeit very briefly) at the sun, and it IS burnt out (and then your eye is).

I´m with Chris here and I need to say I like the second better in all respects, exept for those powerlines. The composition makes me feel more present in some way and the warmth coming from that shot is better in my humble opinion.

Overall, what a beautiful sunset you caught there Pete!

Oh, I really like the sun against the clouds in the second one also.
