I think it is a post to show the quality of the lens rather than the quality of the shot. And a nice sharp lens it appears to be.
Yeah I know, but I like this sort of shot, inadvertently capturing a story. Did he know he was being photographed? How long had the driver been asleep!? The mother with her kids enjoying a random slice of countryside in, I'm guessing, the middle of St Helens. And yeah, its a nice sharp bit of glass

the horse first and then heard a train coming so waited until it
entered the frame. I tried to include the cars which were
actually crawling towards the traffic lights. I was surprised
how much detail was in the corner where most lenses are usually
a bit soft..... This one is a bit soft at 24mm but at 50mm it's well up
to prime standards. I used to use this lens a lot on an SFXn
The building on the right is actually a car auction.
The original looks a lot better because you can see
the horses.
