Very impressed with how the 55-300 performs on my new K-5. Very impressed indeed:

Nice pictures, I really like the weaver bird, especially as those nests are usually in shaded areas.

I was there on Thursday but didn't get anything as good as these.

I was absolutely fascinated by the Weaver Birds. Lovely little things.

Lee - you've encouraged me to put a few more on Flickr as I thought you might want to have a look:

More nice pics

That is probably my favourite enclosure at Chester Zoo, I could spend hours in there.

lovely set I love the Zebra one. The party crasher one is a cracker too in fact its too hard to choose.
Its a while since I went there the main reason I went was to get some Zebra shots for a photo montage thats still in progress (I like to use my own stuff where possible rather than stock). Much to my dissapointment there didnt seem to be any Zebras around went to their encloser a few times but none appeared thought they must be camera shy lol.

Hi Annie. The Zebra section I went to seemed to be a new addition - much more accessible. I'd say if you came back you'd have better luck. Dont hold me to that though!

LOL there was an empty enclosure so perhaps they were about to move into the new place. I did get a distant pic of a rabbit in the old one. LOL

I like these

Thanks!

I'm still curious about the bird I captured -is it indeed a starling? I'm sure someone on this forum could confirm.

I like the Giraffe shot, great detail!

I'll have to go back to the zoo since buying the K5 (The one I told you my friend was selling....I gave in to temptation)
Glad you got sorted too, Bob
Regards,
Michael
