Two Faced

I am sharing these images more because of the story surrounding them than the images themselves.

The bike is called "Two faced", the rider is Pete Williams.

I met Pete at a recent event at Elvington airfield near York where he was trying to realise his ambition of many years of breaking the 200mph barrier on the bike that he fist built from the ground up in 1968 and has been re-building more or less ever since.

Pete has got close to 200mph in recent years but has never quite cracked it.

On August 16th at Elvington airfield at 2:14pm - on his final run of the day (image 3) Pete was officially recorded at 203.1mph - at the age of 73!

Fascinating guy - and if you are interested - you can read all about him and his projects here link

Super photo's and fascinating story and, for anyone who has never been, Elvington Air Museum is a great day out on it's own accord.

Thanks for the 'Two Faced' link...

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
