Unfortunately, your background music drowns your voice. I know the yoot of today must have music with everything, but it really isn't necessary, or desirable.

Alright alright, calm down, calm down . If there was music there before, Shaun's removed it now. Kudos to Shaun for doing this; I can't stand the sound of my own voice so would be far too embarrassed to record a tutorial. My only observation is... it's a bit basic isn't it? Lol... I also tend to cheat and just rotate the crop box so it's in line with the horizon (omitting the 'rotate image' stage altogether....)

George I don’t know what you’re talking about? There’s never been any music so you must be one of two things
1. You had had music on in your home in the back ground.
2. Or 2 you’ve had a drink?????

Didn't notice the original had a sloping horizon (being hilly)

Why did you say you were rotating it counter-clockwise and then do the opposite? The 'icons' are in fact called 'radio buttons'.

Seascapes tend to show up sloping horizons more.
However, for showing the technique, well done. While it might be obvious for some how to do it, others will welcome your efforts.

Digressing slightly - I had an interesting discussion on that subject a few days ago, but this time involving a lake. My argument was that the horizon was not horizontal because the distant shore was much further away on the RHS than on the LHS (bit like looking along a canal- the opposite bank is unlikely to be horizontal)

I agree The horizon will only be horizontal if the two reference points are the same distance away from the observer. I think!

I agree. Here is an example. The horizon is perfectly horizontal but the riverbank on the right hand side is closer than the on the left:

That was the gist of my discussion. My opponent (?) was adamant that the water horizon had to be horizontal (because it was water). More difficult to ascertain the earth horizon as it was hilly (likewise the brick horizon in the link assume that buildings are of a similar dimension)

On Elements you pick the straighten tool, click on point 1 then point 2 and it straightens and crops the picture.

Seems a lot easier, surprised Photoshop doesn't have that tool considering they both come from Adobe.

Well what can I say? This was meant for some new people that need some help with Photoshop; all I can say is that we all have our own ways of doing an image or photograph? In Photoshop, and this is the way I do it!

Its very basic fast and easy to follow, I know that some of you know how to do this? But there are some that don’t.

The reason I did this tutorial, as I was asked by people who wanted to know how to do this so I agreed.
If I have helped just one? Then iam very happy.

Just like when I did the Grunge photography tutorial when a lot of people liked that so I made this, iam very new to making these videos but i will get better at it, and I really enjoyed it too.

Carry on Shaun. I need to learn how to Photoshop. To be honest I find it baffling and I like your back to basics approach. Just the kind of thing I'm looking for. It's very helpful, generous of you to share your ways and much appreciated.
