Trouble uploading portrait view picture.

Have tried to upload a picture twice but it opens in landscape ie my picture is laying on it,s side. The second time I tried I had discovered that by right clicking image in the "chose image to download" screen I could rotate it, so i did and picture still uploaded on it,s side. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I am presuming that you chose the image by browsing in Windows, in which case you won't have saved the rotation until you close it. You'll need to try doing the rotation before you select the image.

Having said that, it's much better to deal with images in Photoshop (or another program) and prepare them optimally for upload.

Thank you John, although picture appeared correct way up in photoshop in the properties panel it showed orientation to be -90, so once i figured out how to change that problem solved
