tripod advice..update

ok, a while back I mentioned Gerri's Giottos tripod (i looked but cannot find it). I think its an mt9170
Here's an update: a little knob on the tripod post collar fell off. I'll be drilling a hole through the knob and the shaft it mated to, tapping it and inserting a bolt to secure it, which is what the designer should've done.
now this tripod is less than a year old, doesn't get used or abused as much as my 10+yr old manfrotto 190.
not a deal breaker, just an anoyance that really would've ticked me off it it happened during a wedding shoot.
