Trefor in the snow

#4 & #5 are my favourites (esp. 4). Lovely. Trefor rings a bell - my parents live in Ruthin.

I like them as they are
My personal taste is that long exposures that give 'misty' water etc are far worse than shots that show the water as it is or at least pretty close to what the eye would see. But that's just what I like

I like them as they are too. I'm another one who doesn't care much for cotton wool water.
With the lone tree it's a pity you couldn't get it from a lower angle so it was isolated against the sky. Lying down in the snow would have done it .

A beautiful part of the world, caught at the best time of year (can you tell I miss it...).
Anyway, I like no.3, although maybe a lower angle or different position so the branches are clearer against the sky instead of the black/white rocks?...not sure, I'd have been very happy to have caught that regardless!
no.5 is very nice as well - it feels slightly fisheyed though (no EXIF so can't tell) - what would it be like with some barrel-distortion correction?

No.3 for me as well, but I do agree that it would be better from an angle where it is completely against the sky or snow.

The lone tree gets me - just look at the angle of it - presumably from the prevalent wind. Argh < shiver , shiver >

One and six are very nice. Never seen Trefor looking like this! Are one or two a bit blue? I know white balance can be off in the snow. I found setting the K10 to "cloudy" warmed tones up a bit.

For the long exposure in (4), the camera was resting on the wooden fence as shown in the picture.

Good point regarding the tree, which is still there (no snow though!).

Long exposures weren't an option on the day, as I didn't have a tripod with me I like them as they are too. I'm another one who doesn't care much for cotton wool water.

The tree is at a strange angle (its visible from afar in no. 7).
