Steam train went through our local station tonight so thought I would grab a few shots from the bridge (along with all the train spotters).

K-5 and Sigma 50-150mm f2.8.

Looking at these images reminds me of a point along the Carlisle-Settle line whereupon you can get a seriously up close, low down and dynamic image of one of these antiquated behemoths coming right at you from the axles upwards!

#3 is by far the best IMO. An unusual persective on a well worn subject. Nice!!!


#4 is let down by being slight over exposed and lacking in contrast
