Train spotting

Thinking of becoming a train spotter and then progressing from there to plane spotter as I build some fast focusing skills with the help of you forum members

So thought best to start with the smaller ones still

C&C greatly welcome as usual .

By the way I blurred couple of faces, I never know if I can get into trouble by uploading faces from strangers although this is an open public ride, but just in case I am not stepping into something that could put me into some legal problems I blurred them anyway.

My understanding is that if you are in a public place (which can be private property) where you can reasonably expect photographs to be taken then there's not a problem. That is unless you are deliberately trying to denigrate or misrepresent that person and even then I think they'd struggle to succeed in what would be a civil action.

I know you've had a little trouble in the past but this sort of behaviour simply feeds the prejudice against photographs - not that I'm being personal in this as it's becoming more common. Street photography as a genre would be dead at a stroke otherwise.

Public place = no privacy.

On balance we can all expect to be treated with respect.

Then again I am not legally expert and so I may have it all wrong - but I doubt it!

Thanks for an interesting link but with respect not entirely relevant. However, what a very practical approach laden with common sense. They even accept that tripods might be used.

Nice pictures. A shame to blur them out as these pics are not for corporate/commercial use.

As explained earlier, this is my first upload with images where strangers appear in my shots and I didn't know if I would be stepping into a cobweb of trouble so I attempted to minimise it by blurring slightly the faces of other people in the image.

I get it now that there shouldn't be any problems in taking and uploading shots of general public here, a few of members have cleared that out for me, so I hope this doesn't turn into a debate about this. This wasn't my intention at all.

Thank you again

No need to be over sensitive over my comment. All I did was just explain my ignorance in the matter, and in case you missed it I did also thank you.

Don't know why suddenly your comment above. I wasn't criticising you for advising me, more so just stating that I had already got the idea and wanted to avoid originating a debate on this as we all know how an issue such as this instantly blows out into a big discussion. We have had a few around here focused on this subject so just wanted to avoid it, again

You can never be sure enough nowadays, you never know, its always better to make completely sure and fumigate the face completely

Will, no worries , I didn't take it wrongly, just didn't want you to think I was annoyed by your helpful comment . You were being kind enough to point me the issue and even I too think I have ruined that shot by blurring it. But I did that only for the upload here, the original one is still intact.

I might as well uplaod the other ones too then and I have replaced the blurred one above too
