Can anyone explain the colour difference between these 2 photos, they were taken within a minute of each other with my K20 and Sigma 10-20 with polarizer fitted and were taken with the following settings,

Aperture priority, F8, 1/125, ISO 200, 18mm auto white balance.

The water probable is the colour you see in the first image, what you see in the second image is probable the reflection of the sky in the water.

The change of angle could have something to do with it since you were using a polariser maybe?
Were they shot jpeg or RAW. If RAW then set the white balance, etc to the same level for both and see how they look then.

I agree with Gwyn. Change of angle of polarizer.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Thanks lads,I don't use raw much to time consuming, I may have moved the polarizer slightly but I doubt it, the only thing I can think of is the angle of the sun may have changed when I moved position other than that I have no idea,

All i can think is maybe the camera has taken a different reading off a different area' darker or lighter it would give a different colour cast because it was in auto white balance mode.

I know this doesn't help much Jack

Thanks Martin, I have a few more slightly different so this could be the problem, anyway it gives it a bit of variety so I can live with it,

Since everyone says it's the white balance I've uploaded them into lightroom and use the WB picker, it measure the white so to say.
I've clicked on the on the wall on the right side of the door of the house with both images.

It does make a small difference but surely not much so it's the change of angle.

As you can see you have far less reflections in the plants and the water with the first photo then with the second.
