My grandson was over from Germany so took him to see the traction engines and motorcycles at Whitby.

He's daft on motorcycles so spent most of the time around the bikes and even managed to be offered a sit on a 1939 Scott Flying Squirrel.

I was back at Whitby yesterday to see any motorcycles that turned out for the Motorcycle display up on the West Cliff at the Crescent.

A couple of good showers during the afternoon didn't dampen the atmosphere and it was worth the trip. Unfortunately the Red Arrows were cancelled but a DC3 did do a couple of fly pasts. I was near the swing bridge for the only shot I got. (K-1 with a Sigma Mk1 70-200mm f/2..

The tide was out and the East cliffs scar was bright green, covered in sea weed. (43mm)

Both cameras got drenched in the rain including the lenses. Fortunately no issues.

Best regards
Too far from a shore.
