Towards Hope Valley
I prefer the composition of the first with the path leading into the frame and the positioning of the pond..... butyou got better mid-ground light on the second.
The second wins out because of the lighting across most of the ground, which pulls the eye right through to the distance. On the first there is really no lighting at all so to speak. Also the sky contrast is too high on the first, with prominent blown highlights and very dark shadows .. This balance is better on the 2nd, but could probably be further improved with a little levels work just on the sky.
Great views over some great landscape!

The second one for me is the best, it's a shame you didn't have a Polariser or a ND Grad with you as the results would have been even better. However, the second in particular has bags of atmosphere and is a delight to look at.

Nothing wrong with clouds as long as some light gets through, well done.
