Wow!
I LOVE polarizers, but #2 is probably over the top.
What make of CPL is it?

You just need to up the exposure, they are underexposed somewhat... The second would be so good if you just boosted the exposure a bit.

Yes, and add a bit of yellow to warm up the stone. You just need to up the exposure, they are underexposed somewhat... The second would be so good if you just boosted the exposure a bit.

Apologies for the larger pictures - my normal hosting site is down so pulling them from flickr.
It's a B+W Thin 77mm Circular Polariser on the Sigma 10-20. I have touched up the pictures to get the right exposure and also took your advise George and added a bit of yellow in the second picture. I also played around with the photoshop lens distortion filter to see how straight I could get them. I quite liked the previous perspective but I am curious to see what others think. Also added a black and white version again to see what other think.

Probably can't beat any B&W filter - I'd say you've got a great one.

Good

Best
The last is a classic b&w shot. The lack of colour accentuates the dramatic shape of the building, which is itself greatly enhanced by the perspective and the low angle from which the shot was taken.
Nice.

I like the b/w version - then the navy blue skies work, but personally I find the sky very unnatural in the second photo, far too dark. I just don't like it. So me me no 1 is the better colour photo, but the b/w photo works very well.
I never used a pola filter in America - the skies there (when the sun shone) were just an amazing blue, which came through fine on the photos without needing a filter. I had been told this before I went and took a chance on it.
Did you take one without the filter also?

This first picture was taken with the polariser on but not doing any polarisation if that makes sense. I then rotated it to get the effect in the second one. Did you take one without the filter also?
I initially thought the first picture had the plarisation applied but as I am pretty new to using it I turned it anyway and found the sky got even darker blue.

Yes, the sky is not really that shade of blue but I kind of like the effect. Not sure which of the three I like most though....but personally I find the sky very unnatural in the second photo, far too dark....

can't claim to be an expert but for me the two colour ones look a bit unreal, the edges on the right and in the arch are so sharp it doesn't look natural to me. But Black and White it all works very well, far and away the best shot.
