Thanks Paul

It needs a bit tidying up but can't be too bothered right now , wanted to hear any comments so decided to upload as soon as I finished snapping them.
With a bit of tidying up specially the noise around the colours where they join could help a bit more though

Amin

Number 4 is the dogs bits!

These are really, really great like cream being dropped in runny jam, hmmmmmm

Really amazing.

Can these keep getting better and better? I have no idea, but I enjoy the anticipation of newer ones each time!

Great Shots as usual amin.

I love number 4, especially the overlap effect of the drops over the crown.

Are you finding the different colour liquids harder or easier that 'plain' water

All cameras are equal but.....
Some are more equal than others

See Amin
I think I lke No 1 the best. But I prefer the water ones myself. I like the clarity in the drops. That said these are up to your usual high standard.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments . I have been enjoying this series and trying to alter things just to make it more entertaining.

But I must admit, they are a pain to shoot. I find it far far more difficult than the smoke bubbles and even compared to the wine glass splashes.

Each different colour liquid requires tweaking of the setup, finding different angles and changing flash outputs, ISO, shutter speeds etc.
But I must say, when I get some results its really gratifying. And addictive too .

I wanted to get the black background to enhance the drops this time and this is what I tried to achieve on these ones.

Dave, one tip for you if you want to have a go at this is try different size containers, I mean shallow or deeper, the amount of the liquid in the container will give different effects, crown shaped, rising column liquids etc. Try even in just a few milimiters of liquid and you will see different shapes formed. Height from which you drop the liquids will make a difference.
When I started doing these drops in the beginning I filled a plastic bag with water and tied it above the water bowl and then pierced it with a needle so that water would drip from there. Then I progressed finding more resourceful ways to let the drips fall.

Paul, different colour liquids are neither harder nor easier than plain water, just different. Once you tweak the settings and angles then its fine. You can achieve different colours with water also by bouncing the flash from a card. But that's just one way of doing it. Best advice is to experiment in every possible way, changing flash positions, backgrounds etc. In each of these sessions I spent at least 5 hours if not more to just get 4 or 5 decent shots that I am happy with and worthy of upload. I must say though that most of that time I didn't exactly spend shooting but tweaking, trying different ways and not forgetting keeping on cleaning the stuff to restart all over again.
