Toadstools

I was playing with the Tamron in the garden yesterday and saw these, the contrast of the Green moss and the single toadstool in the first one caught my eye.
All C&Cs welcome.

Nice shots PaulM. We have had a few in our garden that I keep meaning to have a go out but keep missing them!

I like the first one best, the moss background works well

Agreed on the first one. I think the second suffers from lack of composition - it looks too much like "here are some toadstools". Perhaps moving slightly to the left, removing the debris at the bottom, and emphasising the three left-hand toadstools would give more opportunities?

Yep, first one's better for me too, but not so sure about the brown leaves on the right hand side. If you've got a polariser filter, try using that when you next shoot toadstools, it can make a massive difference to the whole scene.

I agree number one is the better photo, though number two had the potential to be a great picture if you'd concentrated on the three in a row on the left.

Thanks for the tip Dan. I saw the some toadstools in our woods today and was thinking of trying some shots. It's rained off and on ever since though I shall see if they are still there tomorrow.

Rain? Best time for toadstools - get out there!
