There will be no more compact cameras branded as Pentax.

In a recent press mailing (5th Feb 2014), Amber Renard, Public Relations Manager for Ricoh Imaging Americas, stated, "As you will note, the WG-4 and WG-20 series are the first [compact cameras] to bear the Ricoh name. As such, I wanted to take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the historical PENTAX brand. The PENTAX name will continue to appear on all of our interchangeable lens cameras (ILC), lenses and sport optics, while the Ricoh name will be reserved for our compact cameras."

Yada Yada it's America Yada Yada!

There's a section marked "Pentax Ricoh Cameras" that's fairly new and was intended for the compacts.

Whatever section there are, some posters seem to put their opening posts randomly sometimes!
Best regards, John

So, presumably, the Q-7 & Q-10 will remain branded as Pentax alongside the DSLRs

Yep Ralph, thats how I read it, anything where the lens comes off is a pentax.
So if you buy GR Drop it and the lens falls off it's now a Pentax
