Excellent once again Alan, the first one for me as it's more difficult to capture animate subjects!

No 1 for me Alan because of the subtle colour and lovely reflection.

As someone who's not into birds or bird images, I really appreciate the extra elements in your shot here - the composition is transformed by including the reflection. Gives it an extra dimension and interest.

Nice use of foreground elements on the beach (yes, this is starting to sound like a photo magazine's 'Your Shots' section )! Guess you have to work hard here to get something in front of you. You've said before about using ND grads and clearly its worked wonders here The band of tobacco rising from the horizon doesn't look quite right to me, but I guess it may have actually been there ?

There's a bit of barrel type distortion pulling down at the left of the image, from the building at the end of the pier - I wonder if it would be easy to correct this and pull it up a bit?

Thanks for feedback folks - much appreciated.

If anyone has ever been on a quiet beach, then watching sanderlings is quite entertaining as they scrat about following the tide line, in and out with the waves.

Good spot on #2 Nigel . I didn't notice the vertical needed correcting on the lighthouse until after I posted. I have updated it in lightroom, but left the original here.

As to the ND effect. The Grad across the sky was a hard grad, so there are no graduations. Just placed the starting point on the horizon
