Why bother so much with text sizes and colours? Most of it just clutters the page anyway. making it more difficult to read.

I rather like the KISS principle ( Keep It Simple, Stupid)

To return to the issue raised by gartmore:

Let's clean up our signatures and stick by the rules, starting with my own.

I actually find it very handy to see what equipment someone has, it makes it possible to ask direct questions to another member regarding a lens or camera. At least that's the reason why I've it in my signature.

I seem to have upset some folks by stating my 'stockholding', mistakenly thinking it might be of interest; AND I seem to have opened a rather daft can of worms.
So before anyone else starts chucking thier toys out of the pram I'll see if I can't clean up my little mess.

@Stefan, Here's a link to a help page on my site of a fairly complete implementation of true BBCode, if you are interested. It may help to shed some light on this modified one. (I would get too excited about tables though, they are so uncommon I had to implement them myself for my sites )
