Love the shed shot - Question ..............is it better to photograph Snow scenes which are predominately B/W or grey in b/w mode or in colour ??
There was a fabulous shot on the front of the Telegraph the other day and I only realised it was in "colour" as I studied the detail and found a couple of items in blue and purple.
K20D,*istD ( now a dedicated M42 digital ),K100D,MZ5N,P50,ME Super,Spotmatic 1000,Spotmatic,ESII,ES,H2.18-55 II,18-55,75-300 FAJ,35-80 FA,80-200 F,28-105 FA,Sigma 24-70 AF Aspherical,Sigma 28-300 Hyperzoom , Praotor II 500 M42,Centon 500mm mirror,and a few Pentax M42 Taks,super-Taks,smc Taks,A and M lenses.Benbo trekker,7dayshop monopod and a Lowepro rucksack.

I am now on Flickr which is nice !

Thanks for your comments
With regard to shooting monochrome or colour, that's a difficult one. I get around it by shooting RAW and deciding on one or the other when I view and PP the image. Bit of a cop out I guess

I like the icicles as well but the close detail of the lock on the shed door and the bitumen sandwich are good graphic shots.
As for the question of whether to shoot in colour or black and white I always shoot in colour and take the decision at PP stage to convert to mono. This way I always have the option of either colour or black and white.

I really like #1 especially in B&W...adds to the "cold" effect for me.

Nice shot

I like the locked shed, especially for the sentiment

I like the idea with the diagonals, shame those branches got in the way.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

Thanks Ted, well actually it's been open a few time for shovels but at least the intention is there
I agree with you with regard to the branches in number, I tried to find an angle without them but unfortunately not possible without resorting to my highest step ladder at the bottom of our garden
Then I think our neighbours would have been questioning my motives

Love the shed lock. BTW, if you allow the icicles to grow too long, their weight can remove your rain water gutter. (Been there, got the T-shirt!)

Thanks for your comments Alun.
Yes luckily those icicles are now beginning to melt with temperatures hovering around 1°C
