These are right up my street! couldn't resist - sorry. Snickets make similar interesting shots too, 'any gate' as they used to say in Yorkshire!

Overall a great idea for a project and interesting, well-captured first set.
I don’t know if it’s because I was looking on a small screen, for my personal taste it’d be great to be able to see a bit more in the shadows. I’m not sure what the best way to do that would be. HDR? Adjusting curves in PP? Nothing too artificial, just a little bit more and for me it would then be spot on. It’s totally a question of personal taste though.

Thanks folks.
They do look different on my big, calibrated screen (used for photo editing) compared with my tablet screen. I adjusted curves for 1 and 3 so the darkest part of the shadow was black (the light was pretty dark in any case), a lot more looks black on the tablet.

Quite a lot taken over the years but need sorting (and finding!). Depends on getting some enthusiasm for photographic archaeology on the hard drive!Any more you can show to us?

1. Direct Pizza. Guess what they sell...
2. Fox & Sons. Estate agent.
3. Dodgsons of Dorchester Ltd. An old-style hardware shop, not necessarily the cheapest but they have everything and, most importantly, know everything about it.
