Took this shot of a ruin at the back of our house and then converted it to Black & White.

What do you think? How could it be improved?

I like it, which is saying a lot for me 'cos not many black and white photos do anything for me, or portrait landscapes for that matter. The view through the hole in the wall seems to give a glimpse of another place altogether from the world outside.

I feel like it is off balance, are the verticals correct? it feels tilted to the right.

Also I would have liked to see the further tree more in the frame. Is there any chance of recovering the blown out clouds?

Apart from that, I like it.

Thanks for the comments

Mac I simply converted the photo to B&W in PS and then tweaked the levels a little.

I will try getting out again and try a little different composition...
