The Kelpies

I just wondered if any of the members who live up in Scotland have been to see The Kelpies in Falkirk and taken any photos of them .I 've been following the progress of the construction on facebook and they look amazing, well worth a visit I would say.... jeff

Hello Jeff.
These wonderful sculptures will be officially "introduced" next Thursday and Friday with a pyrotechnic display. They are 30m high and the public will be able to tour them from Easter monday.
I have seen them during construction. They are very striking and there might be problem with drivers viewing them as they are situated right next to motorway !!!

Oldhat is right in that the motorway is a rather unsightly backdrop. There is a rather tasteful pylon on the other side though

Was at the Helix Park where the Kelpies "live". Impressive scuptures but found it difficult to take a good image with location,pylons, poor light etc. plus my lack of technique!!!
