yes indeed. couldn't agree more

It's time to revive an old mantra I think: "All controls should be usable by touch and all camera settings should be visible without taking the eye away from the viewfinder".

That is for cameras with a viewfinder of course For cameras (dare I say crippled by) only having a view-screen a well designed touch interface would probably be rather nice.
