Yes these are very cool and amazing! Best I think are 3 and 5, but they all have such vibrant colour and energy from the spinning which makes a winning combination. Did you need special permission to use the tripod? And do you mind me asking, with the big stopper, what sort of shutter speeds did you end up with to get the spinning ?

Thanks guys

Nigel. No special permission

As to exposures. I wanted to keep everything simple, so I set shutter speed to 30 secs and aperture to f8. Did a test in TAv mode, which I think was a couple of stops under exposed. So made the exposure adjustment. Then just shot away in TAv, letting the ISO float

At 10pm at a funfair you get people coming up and throwing a pose in front of the camera. With a 30 sec exposure, you can afford to smile and give a thumbs up knowing they'll be off in 2 secs and they won't register in the end image

Very nice and interesting shots
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Really great set... 3 and 4 for me, but all excellent... Trip down memory lane for me too... Last went to this 30 years ago, but drove past the other day and pretty sure it's the same helter skelter... Interested as to what you may have done in pp with these, if anything... 1, 3 and 4 in particular have an (almost) HDR feel to them... ambient light from the neon with a tweak in levels, classy exposure combining, bit of layers, or none of the above? Do tell if you have a moment...

Thanks again guys - much appreciated

Hi Bill

All done at dusk, so the lights have the desired impact.

Processing done in lightroom. Just tweaking levels generally, and setting white balance

And then using Grad filters on the top and on the bottom when necessary. Also using Spot adjustment brush to tweak levels locally
