It used to be called a beanbag. The other day I took my shirt off and used that, worked well.

Same in Germany - we call it Bohnensack - but I assume this name is not sufficient for a modern marketing campaign - The Pod sounds much more "legendary"

Have been using one for years - and they have always been called "The Pod". Ordered a larger (Silver) version at the beginning of the year with "The Cube" and Jessops went belly up before I could have it delivered or even collect it.

I received a great little gadget yesterday and want to share my first experience (although I wouldN#t be suprised when you all know it already). The thing is called The Pod (green edition) and it is basically a modern form of the classical bean bag.
I ordered the green version as its size and especially the low weight of only 300g allows to have this bag in my photobag all the time. More details and pics of this bag can be found here: http://thepod.ca/green%20pod%20page.html
I tried it yesterday evening and have to say - WOW - you can easily rest cour camera so fix, that HDR or long time exposers are no problem at all. I cant share pics here but you find some under link
The golf groud pics and the one with the fountain where taken with the green pod - as you can see - crystal sharp although these were either long time exposures (golf ground) or even HDR (with up to 30 seconds exposure time (the fountain)....
The pod is really cheap (only 20 euro) and it will be one of my favorite photography equipments this year
