I have been asked what the colour version looks like, so here is the 2nd one in colour

Certainly the mono one has more impact, but the colour version is still pretty good IMO!

I actually couldn't pick between the colour and the mono at first but i'm certainly drawn more to the colour, i love that light.

Just to be the odd one out, I like the original best. It's got bags more atmosphere. The 2nd one is just (!) a nice picture by comparison -- to me, that is.

I'm with David, the opening image for me has better composition. You can really look into the scene as it has depth. The 2nd I find hard to look into as it's a little cluttered and I can't get over that barrier in the foreground
